Faces

When tutors at art college tried to dissuade  me from attempting to paint figures, I quietly rebelled against them by hiding limitless faces into my paintings. Painted subtley, and imitating natural paint splashes, they could almost go unnoticed.

Gradually, as my confidence has grown, faces and creatures increasingly appear more boldly and vividly in my paintings. I take great joy in creating images from simple materials and I hope this   is apparent in my work.
